    Lenfoma tedavisinde tümör kaybolduktan sonra kemoterapiye devam edilme amacı nedir?

    Benim bir arkadaşıma B hücreli non-hodgkin lenfoma teşhisi kondu. Kemik iliği biyopsisi temiz çıktı. Henüz orada tutulum yokmuş. Tedaviye başlanırken 6 ya da 8 kür kemoterapi göreceği söylendi. Şu an 2 kürü almış durumda. Kemoterapiye başlanmasının ardından henüz PET çekilmedi. Elle yapılan muayenede tümörde küçülme olduğu söylendi. Doktoru 4. kürün sonunda tümörün kaybolması lazım demiş. Eğer 4. kürde tümör yok olabilirse 6 ya da 8 kür kemoterapi görmesindeki amaç nedir? Ya da 4. kür sonunda doktorunun umduğu gibi tümör yok olmazsa ne olur? Yanıtınız için şimdiden teşekkür ederim.
