    Gebelikte idrar yole enfeksiyonu sık görüldüğünden ve gebeliği komplike edebildiğinden önemlidir. Tekrarlama olduğuna göre kültür antibiyogram yapmakta yarar var. Ancak antibiyogramda da duyarlı antibiyotikler gebelikte kullanılabilenlerden olmayabilir. Bu işe yaramıyorsa idrar yolu antiseptiklerini uzun süre ve düşük dozlarda kullanmak, idrar yollarının direncini artırmak için cranberry ekstresi kullanmak, vajina ortamını düzenlemek için antiseptik fitil kullanmak ve genital bölgeyi günde 1 defa uygun şampuan ile yıkamak iyi olabilecek önlemler.
