    Beklenen adet tarihinde, diğer bir deyişle cinsel temastan 2 hafta sonra gebelik testi sonucu aşağı yukarı bu kadar olur. Ancak adet kanamasının 2. haftasından daha geç yumurtlama olmuş olabilir. Bu durumda gecikmeden daha sonraki günlerde bu gebelik testi sonucu bulunabilir. Açıkçası gebeliğin sağlıklı olmadığını düşünmek yerine beklemek daha iyi olur. Beta hCG iki günde iki katına çıkarak artar. 1500 olduğunda vajinal ultrason ile gebelik görülebilir. Bu hesaba göre düşünüp tekrar ultrason yapmak en iyisi olur.
