    Aslında gebelik ve diğer tüm yaşam dönemlerinde her ilaç potansiyel zararlıdır. Her ilaç, kar-zarar oranı dikkate alınarak kullanılır ya da kullanılmasından vazgeçilir. Bu anlamda gebelikte ilacın alındığı gebelik büyüklüğü de önem taşır. Tüm bunlardan öte düşünürsek, parasetamol içeren (parol) ilaçlar gebelikte nispeten güvenilir ilaçlardır. Diğer yandan allerji için kullanılan ilaçların çoğu potansiyel olarak zarar verici olabilir.
