    Her adet gecikmesi gebelik olmamakla birlikte, gebeliğin asıl belirtisi adet gecikmesidir. Siz de adet gecikmesi yaşadığınıza göre muhakkak muayene olmalısınız. Gebelik olsun veya olmasın, 1 hafta veya daha uzun süreli adet gecikmeleri normal değildir ve değerlendirilmelidir. Bulantı, akıntı, baş dönmesi, yorgunluk, uyku... gibi belirtilere gebelikte rastlanabilirse de bunlara bakılıp gebelik var denemez.
