    Ertesi gün hapları, kullanılmadan önceki 72 saat içinde olan ilişkilerdeki gebeliği kısmen engeller. Bu engelleme mutlak değildir. Ancak eldeki olanak kadardır. Üstelik yan etkileri ve riskleri çok fazla olduğundan sık sık kullanılması asla önerilmez.

    İlacın doğal yan etkileri arasında adet kanaması düzensizlikleri de vardır. Ancak adet gecikmesi durumunda öncelikle gebelik olasılığı ekarte edilmelidir. Gebelik olasılığı açısından muayene olmalısınız.
