    İkiz gebelikte birinin yaşamaması durumuna kaybolan ikiz adı verilir. İçindeki bebeğin kaybı ile kese sıvı kaynağını kaybettiği gibi diğerinin basınıc altında giderek ezilir ve yok olur. Bu bizim tahmin ettiğimizden de daha sık olan fakat düzenli kontrolü yapılmayan hastalarda tanısı konmayan bir durumdur. Bu büyüklükte diğer bebeğin sağlığı için risk oluşturmaz.
