    Hipofiz adenomlarının çoğu prolaktin salgılayan adenomlardır. Buna emin olmak için hormon testlerinin yapılması gerekir. Hormon testleri de aynı şeyi gösteriyor ise adenomun büyüklüğüne göre tedavi uygulanır. Bu tedavi çoğunlukla ilaç ile tedavidir. Ancak ilaç, hasta muayene dilerek yazılabilir.
