    Mutlaka bir nedeni olmalı. Adet gecikmesinin genç erişkin hanımlarda en sık nedeni gebelik olmakla birlikte gebelik testi negatif bulunmuş. Bu durumda yumurtlama ile ilgili sorunlar başta olmak üzere hormonal pek çok neden düşünülebilir. Adet gecikmeleri de adet düzensizliği olarak değerlendirilir.
