    Her adet gecikmesi gebelik olmamakla birlikte, gebeliğin asıl belirtisi adet gecikmesidir. Siz de adet gecikmesi yaşadığınıza göre muhakkak muayene olmalısınız. Gebelik olsun veya olmasın, 1 hafta veya daha uzun süreli adet gecikmeleri normal değildir ve değerlendirilmelidir. Gebelik testlerinin negatif olması gebeliğin olmadığının kesin belirtisi değildir. Adet yerine kanlı akıntı olması kimi zaman daha ciddi sorunların olduğunu da düşündürebilir.
