    Ertesi gün hapları, içerdikleri yüksek doz hormon nedeniyle yumurtlama dengesini bozar ve adet düzensizliğine neden olur. Kimi etkileri kalıcı da olabildiğinden sık sık kullanılmaları önerilmez. Eğer adet kanamanız 1 hafta veya daha fazla gecikmiş ise muayene olmanızı öneririm. Bir hafta gecikme olana kadar ek önlem almanıza gerek yok.
