    Kanda beta hCG, 1500 veya üzerinde bulunduğu halde ultrason ile rahim içinde gebelik kesesi görülmediği durumda dış gebelik tanısı konur. Vajinal ultrason ile küçük de olsa bir gebelik görülmüş ise bu dış gebelik olmadığını gösteren önemli bir belirtidir.
